I hold a doctor of clinical psychology (Psy.D.) degree from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and am a licensed psychologist in the state of California (PSY92515). I trained at the C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco and have worked at community mental health agencies and local clinics for over a decade.

I am experienced working with adults and adolescents utilizing an integrative approach. I have trained in analytical (or Jungian) psychology, which emphasizes the therapeutic relationship and the self as a whole. I also utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing (MI), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), and mindfulness-based interventions. I believe there is no single approach to therapy that is right for everyone and personalize treatment to your needs and goals.

I published my doctoral dissertation on synchronicity (or meaningful coincidence), a phenomenon that I believe creates meaning and facilitates conscious awareness, growth, and connection. I have experience working with adults and adolescents with a wide array of difficulties including substance use disorders, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, dual diagnosis, trauma and PTSD, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, identity development, relational problems, low self-esteem, and LGBTQ related issues.

I have facilitated groups of clients with substance use disorders in residential treatment helping clients and their families develop a physically and mentally healthy lifestyle. During my postdoctoral fellowship, I provided individual psychotherapy in an adult outpatient program where I facilitated a weekly mindfulness group. During that time I also worked as a consultant at a college where I provided individual psychotherapy and a mindfulness-based stress reduction group to students.

In addition, my experience includes working with adults and adolescents with eating disorders in an intensive outpatient program (IOP) and partial hospitalization program (PHP). I also have experience working in a multidisciplinary team of integrated mental and behavioral health treating substance use disorders at the IOP level of care and various other mental health problems in outpatient psychotherapy.

I would love to speak with you about how I can help you get the services or treatment you may need. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have or to schedule a free consultation to determine the best course of action for you and your needs at this time.
